Letterman Jacket Award Program
The Letterman Legacy Foundation provides charitable assistance to eligible Rowland High School student-athletes who have earned varsity letters and demonstrate financial need.
Who Can Apply
Recipients are selected based on one or more of the following criteria. You do not need to meet every criterion to be considered.
Athletic Achievement
Must have earned a varsity letter at Rowland High School
Academic Requirement
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
Financial Need
Financial need is one factor considered in the selection process. This information is handled confidentially through Rowland High School administration.
Character & Sportsmanship
Exemplary conduct on and off the field

Selection Process
Our selection process is designed to be thorough and fair, with the Foundation Board retaining final authority over all award decisions.
Application Review
Applications are reviewed by the Letterman Legacy Foundation in accordance with the Foundation's eligibility requirements and selection criteria.
Advisory Input
As part of the review process, the Foundation may consider interviews, recommendations, or other input from school officials, coaches, or other individuals when appropriate. Such input is advisory.
Board Decision
The Letterman Legacy Foundation Board of Directors retains final authority to select and approve all award recipients. Once selected, recipients' parents or guardians are notified by the Foundation.
Selection Committee
The Board of Directors appoints a Scholarship and Awards Committee to review all applications and make recommendations. The Letterman Legacy Foundation Board of Directors retains final authority to select and approve all award recipients. Committee members and directors with a personal relationship to an applicant are recused from that decision.
Non-Discrimination Policy
All awards are made without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, gender, disability, or national origin. Every eligible student-athlete deserves a fair opportunity.

Letterman Legacy Foundation award recipients receive their letterman jacket gift certificate through our official community partner, CL Custom Varsity Jackets.
